I had my first therapy session and let me tell you it was nerve-racking! I was unsure about a lot of things and I didn’t think that I would have the skills needed to be a good therapist. Soon I learned that I had to remind myself that I am a human talking to another human and learning the human experience. Having an internship that’s not paid it’s not only mentally stressful it’s financially stressful! We still have lives and bills along with basic necessities to pay for. Who can live off an unpaid internship, definitely not me!
