Today I have the pleasure of speaking with a very close friend of mine, Emily Tschida. In 2016 Emily joined Americorps and moved down to Arkansas for a year to help high school students graduate and see their potential for their future. She was so inspired by the work that, while still in Arkansas, she applied for Peace Corps. She was accepted into the Peace Corps and only had 5 days at home in Minnesota before boarding a plane for Comoros, a small island in Africa, where she would live for the next 2 and a half years. Emily’s story is inspiring in so many ways and reminds us that we can all learn so much from each other, no matter how different we may seem. Here is Emily’s story….
