Topic: THE POWER OF CONSISTENCY (Part 2)!

INSPIRATION: Talking about consistency, Paul has this to say, "‭Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" (Gal. 6:9). In other words, harvest awaits you if you do not give up. One reason many give up too soon is that they seek a quick harvest and care less about its timing. Process is a factor with God and if you short-circuit the processes, you're sure to miss out on the desired outcome.

Most people have lost out of their prayed up expectations because they lacked the will to be consistent. Impatience is not a godly virtue, and no amount of justification can turn it into a virtue. So, you'd do well to shun all forms cynicism, negative remarks and all unsavoury comments that discourage you from your cause. Strike your sword as many times as possible because what's at stake is mightier than your immediate understanding. Keep sowing and never stop investing in your goals.

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

‭‭Do not just be consistent with what you do, be twice as creative in your imagination as you are with consistency.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me to be creatively consistent with what I do; give me the grace to be resilient while setting my mind on the goal. Help me to follow the example of endurance, despising shame, so I can win the crown in all of my endeavours, in Jesus name.

INSPIRATION: Consistency is the secret of mastery and success. Show me a man who's consistent in his business and I'd show you a man who's on his way up the ladder of great success. You become what you consistently do. See what Elisha said to the man who didn't value consistency: "‭The man of God was angry with him and said, “You should have struck the ground five or six times; then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it. But now you will defeat it only three times"" (2 Kings 13:19).

The price for greatness in any endeavour is consistent application of yourself until you evolve. Do it repeatedly morning and night. Don't slack on your convictions. Stay on it even when you can't see any results yet. Ecclesiastes tells us to not quit as we cannot yet determine which effort would yield results. When the time is right, all your efforts could turn out just right. Hence, I challenge you to bury yourself into what you do. Give it your best shots.

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

‭‭Everyone is a product of what they repeatedly do. Therefore invest your time and energy in being consistent with the right things.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I receive grace to be consistent with doing the right thing and to thrive in all my undertakings. The grace to sow and keep watering my efforts is upon me and my results come bountifully without measure in every sphere of my endeavours, in Jesus name.

Topic: THE STORY OF THE CROSS!

INSPIRATION: Life would always be about stories and histories, some pleasant, others not too pleasant, and yet another set for which there is nothing to write home about. But in the historicity of your life comes an undeniable miraculous story that changes the landscape of human existence; not just for you alone but for all of mankind. It is the story of Jesus, His life, His Cross, His death, His burial and finally, His resurrection.

The story of the Cross of Jesus is not a well-scripted fiction; it is the power of God's grace for my salvation and that of all mankind, that gives us access to God without a middle man; it is the interception of a fallen man from falling into a lost eternity. The story of the Cross is a lavish well-planned ransome for my wretched soul; an eternal exchange of an innocent man for a condemned me! It is Mercy saying, "No" to my guilt sentence; and Jesus proclaiming to you as well that IT IS FINISHED!

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

‭‭Jesus's story reconciles you back to God so your history can be complete. Find your way back to God through the Cross.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for helping me find my history and relativity in your Story. Your sacrifices to reconcile me back to God and His divine plans are not lost on me. Today, I rededicate my life to your service as both my Lord and my God and I live to worship You, in Jesus name.

Topic:  HE AROSE! SO, WE RISE (Part 2)!!

6. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

INSPIRATION: One very significant expression of Easter is the divine exchange, where Jesus took your place so you could take His (2 Cor. 5: 21). He died as you so you could live as Him. He got condemned so you could be acquitted and free of all charges. But then, if He had remained in the grave or died again after He resurrected, His resurrection purpose would have lost its significance. Everyone who rose from the dead died again, only Jesus lives forever! Hallelujah!!

Jesus's death and resurrection reconciles humanity back to their original position before the fall of man; it places you on an equal strata with Jesus so that everything He is, you become. He arose and sits at the right hand of God (Col. 3: 1). Of most significance is the fact that He made you sit together with Him (Eph. 2: 6). Your new position elevates you from the mundane, debased and defeated living that you were once used to. You now reign in glory and ride in power - all the power that was given to Jesus Christ when He conquered sin and death! Glory!! Hallelujah!!!

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

‭‭Elevate your thinking to your new status in Christ. Operate from a place of power and advantage.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for making me sit with you in my restored state and for making me know I could rise above every garbage life has ever thrown at me. My mind is renewed to function in the reality of my elevated status, in Jesus name.

INSPIRATION: It has never been a doubt that Jesus arose from the dead, what has been of contention is if believers would rise too. But my concerns today isn't about the rapture but about the fact that Jesus's rise from the grave lifts everyone who believes in Him from their fallen state of sin back to their original status before the fall - a position of victory (John 3: 14-15). If we can see light through His light, we can comprehend that we cannot remain in our fallen, defeated state, too (Rom. 8: 11).

To this end, I make bold to proclaim that you're rising up to a new level of power and victory; victory from sin, sickness, defeat, backwardness, affliction, etc. You're rising to God's originally intended position and purpose; you're rising to the fullness of your identity in Christ, no longer living below your means. Where you've suffered defeat before, you'll rule over the enemy; where you've been denied, you'll gain full acceptance; where you've backed off in fear, you'll confront the issues with boldness! Christ in you makes the difference. Hallelujah!

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

‭‭Your rise is a non-negotiable deal, sealed by the blood of Jesus and delivered to you with the evidence of an open grave. Don't be apologetic about it!

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for taking my place in the grave and for rising to life and victory so I could rise too. I'm no longer a slave to the things that held me bound and defeated. I rise to a new level of victorious living made possible in Christ, and I believe I remain destined for the top, in Jesus name.

Topic: HOW FINISHED IS "IT IS FINISHED"?

30. ‭When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

INSPIRATION: When Jesus said, "It is finished," He meant he had fulfilled the requirement of the Law and the Prophets, meaning that He is come to (a) physically accomplish all that the Scriptures say He will accomplish and (b) make clear through His teaching what the Scriptures have already said. Jesus was saying that the work he came for was accomplished. The task of earning the salvation of the world was completed in his work on the cross. No more additions or adjustments were necessary – salvation was completed.

On the flip side, He was saying a new dawn has come for you. All the negative things you've ever experienced or currently experiencing was coming to an end. He's put an end to the pain, suffering, affliction, rejection, losses, etc, you've be subjected to. His death paid the price for your total freedom. Those who knew you with the pain would look for you there but not find you; those who thought you'd never amount to much would be disappointed to see you rise like an edifice. His death was the ultimate price, nothing else is required to cement your victory.

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

‭‭Irrespective of how low you've sunk in life or how terribly afflicted you've been, believe it is finish and daily reaffirm it to yourself.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for taking my shame, pain and suffering and putting to an end all the evil associated with me. I'm free and victorious, living a brand new life in power and dominion because You did it and declared it is finished. Therefore, I walk in this new reality, in Jesus name.

Topic: DILEMMA OF OVERCONFIDENCE (Part 2)!

INSPIRATION: One of the biggest mistakes of Samson was overconfidence in his ability to singlehandedly wreck havoc on the Philistines and kill scores of them. He became too self-confident until he self-destruct! When overconfidence takes over, your boast rests in the arm of flesh and in your abilities. You falsely assume your achievements are self-made, you take the glory due God and loosen your guards. But unbeknownst to you, the enemy could take advantage of your weakness to strike.

One could liken Peter to be one exuding overconfidence. He even argued against the all-knowing Jesus. At an occasion, he rebuked Jesus for talking about his death! Yet, he could do nothing when the enemy sought permission to sift him! What do you anchor you confidence on? What sponsors your kind of confidence? If all hell breaks loose against you, do you have what it takes to withstand it? Samson slipped when it mattered most; Peter got saved because Jesus had prayed for him. Do you have what it takes to stand?

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

‭‭Overconfidence to make you score a own goal. May overconfidence not make you neglect what's important or force you to trade off your secrets to success.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me to put my confidence in You absolutely. Help me to guide and guard my steps from the pitfalls of overconfidence. Deliver me from the mistakes of Samson and the terrible plot of the wicked that could be fashioned against me like it was done against Peter, in Jesus name.

INSPIRATION: You can't give or receive inspiration when you've expired! In an expired state, Ichabod (the glory departs) occurs but you may not know. Then philosophy and intellectual rationalism subtly creeps in, making you substitute the ordained with the profaned. Oh! Peter, how long shall you remain in your fallen state, when you've been prayed for to enable you strengthen others?

Why do you still doubt the resurrection power when your feeble feet have gained strength and your weak mind emboldened? Yes Peter, you've been prayed for that your faith faint not. And when you're converted, strengthen your brethren! May you receive strength and grace to preach this good tidings; receive the anointing to bind the brokenhearted; open prison doors and proclaim JESUS is The Risen LORD!

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

‭‭Being confident is a virtue. However when overconfidence sets in, you need to watch it lest you slip!

Topic: EXCUSES AND THE BLAME-GAME (Part 2)!

12. And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
13. And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

INSPIRATION: It is my opinion that adults should take full responsibility for all their actions and inactions. It is irresponsible to desire praises when you get it right but look for others to blame when you goof. Actions have consequences, mistakes are like earth tremors with ripple effect. When you pick up one end of a stick, you've also invariably picked up the other end. Weigh your choices and the possible outcomes critically before you act. When you get it wrong, own up to it and live or deal with the consequences.

Irresponsibility releases a restive and an unstable spirit into people. Unstable people are tossed here and there, they're unable to make or own their decisions, and so, can't receive anything from the Lord (James 1: 6-8). Reuben was told, "‭Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel;" (Gen. 49:4). Reuben acted irresponsibly by sleeping with his father’s concubine! The point still remains that no matter the excuses we give to justify our actions, we're not spared of the responsibility. God slammed His verdict on Adam in spite of his excuses!

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

‭‭Paul says, "Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man," (Rom. 2: 1). You'll be made to give an account of your stewardship in due time (Rom. 14: 12).

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me not to trivialise the power of accountability. May I not make excuses for my failure to apply discretion where it mattered most. Guard my heart away from the influence of an irresponsible spirit, in Jesus name, Amen!

INSPIRATION: Those who blames others for everything are character-deficient and lack capacity for process-thinking. They cannot deliver the future, not for lack of the resources but for want of innovations; they cannot harness their thoughts. To them, everything is either black or white, and anything in between is inconsistent, incongruent and inconsequential. They're  fastidious to a fault but does nothing worthwhile with their meticulous quest for details or data available to them.

They masturbate with lofty ideas but wait to no end for all the lights to turn green to strike; whilst they wait, others take the initiative and a circle begins! They're champion procrastinators with bloated egos earned from wishes rather than decisive action. They're isolated, self-conceited, judgmental; yet they know not that the prevailing strategy for the new age is winning with people!

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

‭‭Unwise people weaponise excuses and the blame-game until everything falls apart and everyone leaves them to their fate.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me to take full responsibility for my choices, decisions and actions; deliver me from the weakness of blame-passing where I ought to have acted decisively. I receive grace to live up to the bidding of the responsibilities life brings my way and to deliver on same with excellence, in Jesus name.
