In this lesson we look at the era of the Kings in Israel, and we draw out some important principles regarding how true freedom can only be found in submitting to the authority of God. Further, we see in this lesson that despite of the failures of Israel's kings, that God was further revealing His plan of redemption which would entail the sending of His Son, Jesus Christ, who would be exalted as the King of kings and Lord of lords.

In this lesson we move into the time of the Judges where we see what happens when people do what is right in their own eyes as opposed to submitting to God's revealed will. However, despite the sinfulness of man we see God's merciful faithfulness in the story of Ruth which took place in the time of the Judges.
