The Lord will equip His church.

The Lord has a plan for His church.

The Lord has a goal for His church.

He is worthy.

He has delivered us.

Our flesh longs to return.

Endurance is our goal.

Love is part of our new nature in Christ.

Love is seen in sacrificial service.

Love is present and growing in the Body.

Love is where God is seen in and through us.

Covenant life glorifies God.

Covenant life is found only in Christ.

Covenant life is lived in the Spirit.

Covenant life is rich and fruitful.

We received  common call.

We hold a common faith.

We have made a common confession.

We have a common hope.

How will He find us?

Herod: Disturbed and Distressed?

Religious Leaders: Preoccupied and Prideful?

Wise Men: Watching and Worshiping?

The world had its own plan and agenda (vv. 1-2).

God's grace was made known to the humble (v. 8).        They comprehend their need and insufficiency.        They can recognize Good News.

The humble know how to respond (vv. 16-20).

The angels rejoiced in the message (v. 10).

The angels rejoiced in its meaning (v. 11).

The angels rejoiced for God's glory (vv. 13-14).

The Light shines brightest in the darkness. (vv. 1-2)

The Light brings everlasting joy. (vv. 3-5)

The Light is presently among us. (v. 6)

The Light is coming again. (v. 7)
