Executive Director of Spiritual Growth, Matt Randall, closes out the (un)offended series by talking about how Christians have deemed themselves the referees of the world. However, God’s desire is for us to ‘put down the whistle’ and choose influence over being offended.

In the third week of the (un)offended series, Pastor Danny helps us understand that there is always another side to the story and this is something we should consider to become unoffended. We can better understand the other side by not rushing to judgment, seeking first to understand, and getting insight about certain situations from other people before jumping to conclusions.

In this second week of the (un)offended series, Pastor Danny talks about our tendency to see ourselves better than other people. However, we are just as guilty as everyone else and that is why we needed Jesus to die on a cross. We have to get honest with ourselves because ALL have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory.

Danny introduces a brand-new series this week called, (un)offended. We live in a society today where everyone always seems to be offended about something. But as Christ followers, we don’t have to be. In week one of the series, Danny talks about how getting offended can lead to exhaustion, foolishness, broken relationships and distraction in our lives. To avoid getting offended we have to let God be God.

Danny closes out the final week of our ‘Love is a Verb’ series. He talks about how our need to be great can negatively affect our relationships. We learn, however, that the true path to greatness is to serve others. Jesus is our example of this.

For the third week of our ‘Love is a Verb’ series, guest speaker Michael Kast, from Southeast Christian Church, talks about the difficulty of forgiveness. Michael addresses why should we forgive, when we should forgive, and how we can take steps towards forgiveness today.

During the second week of our series, ‘Love is a Verb’, Pastor Danny talks about how loving people well in relationships takes energy and that is something that most of us feel we lack. However, we learn that there is power available in God to love well. You must connect with God and to connect, you must plug-in.

Danny began a new series this week called 'Love is a Verb'. So often we think of love as an emotion or feeling but in this series we will uncover that love is actually a call to action. In week one, Danny talks about how much of human behavior is compensation for the lack of security, support, acceptance and appreciation we have had in our lives. But when we love others the right way, we help close the deficit.

In the final message of the Closer Than Ever series, Pastor Danny talks about allowing pain to humble us. God wants to partner with humble people. Will you all the pain in your life to harden you or humble you?

During the third week of the Closer Than Ever series, Pastor Danny talks about the fear of the Lord. To fear God ultimately means to be concerned with what God thinks. We cultivate the fear of the Lord when we begin to understand who He is.
