In the third and final weekend of the Life is Better Connected series, Danny talked about the power of group life being preventative. You need to do group when you don’t need it, so you can have the support when you need it.

During this week, Danny talked about the fact that we all have a tendency to hear and not to do. However, it’s not the listening that matters, it’s the doing that makes the difference. And when you choose to live in community, you increase the likelihood of becoming a doer on your spiritual journey.

This week we began a new series called “Life is Better Connected”. Pastor Danny Anderson opened things up by talking about four dangers of living in isolation. We learned that casual relationships aren’t life giving and that we were created to live in community with others.

Our Senior Pastor, Danny Anderson, returned from a 45-day sabbatical. During this talk, Danny shared with us about his time away and what it was that he felt God had showed him.

This week was the second week of our two-week mini series featuring guest speaker, Michael Kast. We talked about how it is possible to have a family that thrives, not just survives. We discovered that this can happen by protecting the proper family order and realizing that the goal of parenting should foremost be the successful hand off of the baton of faith to our kids.

This week, Matt Randall, our Executive Spiritual Growth Director shared with us about his life verse, which is Philippians 4:6-7. A life verse is so important because in the absence of God’s word we forget. A life verse forces us to remember the faithfulness of God.

This week we had guest speaker, Jeff Johnson, share with us about his life verse, which is Psalm 46:10. Our identity comes from God’s identity. God is great, glorious, good and gracious so I can be still and know that he is God and that he will take care of me.

This week our Franklin Campus Pastor, Greg Coble, shared his life verse with us which was John 3:30, which talks about how God must become greater and we must become less. Words are powerful, especially God’s words and they have the power to transform our lives if we let them. We also explored four things to consider when choosing our own life verse.

This week we introduced a new series called “Life Verse”. Claiming a Life Verse is so important because it helps to anchor your soul when you face things in this life. Bill Miller, Banta Campus Pastor, opened up the series with his life verse, Romans 8:28. It is our perspective that must change when our circumstances don’t.
