How do we learn to give thanks in all circumstances? Paul has been an example of this since the very beginning of the church. We will learn how Paul faced his challenging circumstances and kept on rejoicing.

We continue a four-part series on Philippians 1 by learning about Paul’s PARTNERSHIP with these people. Paul opens his letter with a warm greeting that is easily overlooked. It is the kind of thing in a letter that I often “ skim” but we would miss a lot of good teaching if we do that.

This weekend, we begin a nearly 3-month study of PHILIPPIANS! We will look at the story behind the letter which will help us understand the letter itself so much better.

This weekend, we will tweak the Christmas series a bit and focus on YOU Shall Be Called. We have learned the names for Jesus and how meaningful they are. What if you could give yourself a nickname to define your good qualities or characteristics? What would that name be? We will look at name changes and think about how each of us could set a “new name” for ourselves for 2019. I think you’ll find the concept interesting and challenging.

The third name Isaiah gives Jesus, Everlasting Father.

We continue our study of the HE SHALL BE CALLED but looking at the need for a Mighty God.

We continue our HE SHALL BE CALLED series by looking at the name Wonderful Counselor.

We begin a series called, HE SHALL BE CALLED as we look at four nicknames for Jesus. This week we will learn what happened in leading up to this famous text. Then, each week we will focus on one name as we move towards Christmas.

We conclude 1 Corinthians and hear Paul giving some final instructions and saying goodbye. This last chapter is very practical.

We conclude our last series of 1 Corinthians by looking at “order in the church". As you would expect, the Corinthian church was a bit chaotic, and Paul lists some “rules for worship” to restore order. Like last week’s study, this passage has been the cause of hard feelings and even splits in some churches, but if we study it carefully, I think that we can learn some good principles for our own church.
