The consequences of the uncontrolled levels of tourism in Spain are affecting its native population more than ever before: the costs of living are increasing, there is a housing shortage and more tourists come to Spain every year. The negative impact of tourism can be perceived all around the world, but Spain's case is special because tourism makes up for 12.8% of its GDP. Join me and my Spanish boyfriend (who is also an economist) in a conversation about the consequences but also the possible ways of fixing this issue. And how you can be a responsible tourist when you travel.
