Life isn’t fair. Sure, a lot of the pain and frustration that we experience is the result of our own poor choices, but not all of it. Horrible things happen every day to people who didn’t deserve it. How do we handle all of that? This week in Philippians we will hear from Paul about the sort of mindset that is required of us if we are going to hold it all together when everything falls apart.

When it comes to our life togeteher, hurt is going to happen, but that's not all that happens. Connection, intimacy, being known, working through stuff... the depth we experience from all of that makes the risk of getting hurt worth it. 

We started a brand new message series through the book of Philippians. This letter contains some of Paul’s “Greatest Hits.” “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” “Forgetting what is behind, I press on towards what is ahead.” “To live is Christ and to die is gain.” All of those gems can be found in Philippians. But this letter is more than just fodder for Christian coffee mugs or bumper stickers. This letter, written from prison, has been encouraging and inspiring people for nearly 2k years and, as we will see, it still has a lot to say. 

Pastor Nick takes some time to celebrate how amazing our planet is-the one we call home. We are going to talk a bit about how an awareness, connection, and appreciation for nature can play a vital role in our life with God.
