Aaron opens the new year with a two part series on the conflicts we face as a church and what we are called to do.

We look at the story of Jesus' birth and the wonderful proclamation given to the shepherds. As we do, Aaron challenges us to reconsider how some our traditions shape our understanding.

Aaron shares the story of John the Baptist's birth foretold. We learn how to deal with doubt from observing Zechariah's initial response and his ultimate response in his prophetic song.

We wrap up this section of Isaiah by remembering that God waits to be gracious to us, and what we should ask for most is more of him.

Ben walks us through the next part of the story of Hezekiah in Isaiah 37 as we learn what it looks like to respond to God with humility or pride and how God will respond in return.

We are given an example in Isaiah 36 of how the world pushes back against God's people as he moves to build his kingdom. How should we respond when the world tells us to doubt what God is capable of?

Aaron asks us to use our imaginations to motivate us to love Christ and care for others as we consider the implications of God's final judgment.

We jump back into our Isaiah to see how it teaches us why we need the beauty of the gospel and how it changes us.

We learn learn from Proverbs 3 the genius of Jesus seen in the wisdom passed from Solomon to his sons. It is the same wisdom Christ would pass on to us, his sons and daughters.
