Hello, Lovely

Emotional Principles

Listen Later

If you love self-development and mindset work, you’ve probably experienced advice overload.

One person says push harder. Another says rest more. One says stay disciplined. Another says follow your feelings.

It can feel like too much.

That’s why in this episode, I share the emotional principles I personally live by and teach my clients.

Not rules. Principles.

Because emotions don’t follow rules.

A huge shift happens when you stop trying to “do emotions correctly” and instead understand how emotions actually work.

One of the biggest emotional principles is this: emotions are 50/50.

Part positive. Part negative.

That’s not a problem. It’s part of being human.

You are not failing because you feel sad, anxious, overwhelmed, or emotional. You are human. Even in a beautiful life, there will still be grief, disappointment, fear, and frustration sometimes.

Another important principle: you can feel any emotion.

You are capable of feeling all of them.

And lastly, your thoughts create your feelings.

Our brains are constantly offering thoughts, and those thoughts create emotions in the body. That’s why two people can experience the same circumstance and feel completely different emotions about it.

This work is not about pretending to be positive all the time.

It’s about understanding yourself better, feeling more comfortable with your emotions, and creating an overall net positive experience in your life.

That changes everything.
