hi everyone!! welcome back to another episode on my podcast. today's episode as you can see, is about emotionally immature parents. this episode was inspired by reading the book “Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents” by Lindsay C. Gibson.
specifically, i will be talking about internalizers versus externalizers, which are essentially; two different categories of individuals that are products of an environment with emotionally immature parents. both are not necessarily healthy, nor maintainable as an adult that no longer depends on their parents. i believe the goal is finding a “healthy medium” to divide out the things you internalize and externalize. it's without a doubt easier said than done to heal from this, but this episode is an extremely good place to start.
i hope everyone enjoys and as always, thank you for listening. ps... check out the links below!!
