I first met Nolan in an uncommon circumstance: my client was willing to accept policy limits for a significant injury case but only if there was an opportunity to sit face to face with the defendant, and for my client to tell that person how his life had been changed. Nolan was assigned by the carrier to attend, and it was evident why the carrier picked Nolan. I observed Nolan’s empathy, openness, and patience firsthand. It is no surprise to me that Nolan has taken that quiet confidence paired with deep listening to move into helping people navigate challenging conflicts in the mediation setting.
