Mark Fagiano is a philosopher, speaker, and author who specializes in areas of ethics, political philosophy, and pragmatism. His first book, Pragmatism About Race (Indiana University Press), explores the history of the idea of race, offers a critique of philosophy’s role in supporting and sustaining racisms, and suggests that the way forward in race theory is to focus on current social problems (e.g., disparate incarceration rates). His current work explores the nature of human emotions and the roles emotional intelligence and empathy play in our day-to-day lives. And his second book, Empathy Vision, examines the nature of empathy and how to develop this important skill.
As the Co-Founder & C.E.O. of Empathy Vision LLC in Atlanta, Mark creates and delivers workshops and seminars designed for senior leaders interested in evaluating and improving the interpersonal relationship skills of their employees, creating or sustaining positive and productive work environments, and making improvements in their performance in order to attract, motivate, and retain exceptional people.”
