This is the fifth episode in a series of six which covers the life of the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra. Today's understanding of Cleopatra is that of a femme fatale, a woman who used her looks to seduce and dominate the globes' two most powerful men of their time. Such a viewpoint tends to get Cleopatra excluded from the pantheon of history's great leaders. This episode seeks to turn that understanding upside down by detailing exactly what it was like to be a powerful woman in the male dominate world. After examining the main charges leveled against her, we'll conclude that the Egyptian Queen is only guilty of being one of the world's greatest rulers.

Once the Ptolemaic dynasty's place in Egyptian history is established, the podcast turns to the childhood of the woman who would become perhaps the greatest Queen in Egyptian history. Lastly, the episode reveals to the audience how she ended up being named co-regent upon her father's passing.
