Masters is involved with the legal community as a former board member of, and current volunteer with, the Pro Bono Network which works to expand legal services to those in the Chicagoland area who cannot afford them. She is also a member of the Appellate Lawyers Association of Illinois and the Chicago Bar Association. She received Legal Aid Chicago’s 2015 and 2016 Housing Practice Group Volunteer of the Year award. She has also published articles and lectured on topics related to municipal law and appellate practice.
