Today's podcast we speak with Bobby Brasher about Active Shooter training.

In the podcast today, one of the biggest takeaways I got was that cybersecurity is about relationships. Mike and I were discussing the need to educate employees on risk factors and threats that they will face as threat actors attempt to gain access to the organization. One of the things he said that blew my mind was that relationships are a huge part of preparing your organization. Find out why!

Preparedness comes in many forms. You can prepare for a test, prepare for a disaster, prepare for a change in the law or in legal requirements, you can prepare for a data breach or a phishing attack. One thing besides the word prepare that all of these have in common is training.

The West Freeway Church of Christ Shooting in 2019 is a perfect example of why we do what we do. To be successful in the kind of situation presented to churchgoers, we must be empowered with the tools necessary to survive and save lives in an Active Shooter Situation. Guest Chris Reeves and I explore the video of that tragic day to find insights that we all can use to better prepare ourselves and others for the unthinkable.
