Letting go does not mean you don’t care, that you are bitter, or that you are cutting people off. It means releasing unrealistic expectations, emotional labor, and the need for validation from people who have shown you they are unwilling or unable to give it. 

Many of us stay in unhealthy relationships out of loyalty, history, fear of being seen as difficult, or hope that others will change. But endurance is not emotional health, and sacrifice should never come at the cost of self-respect.

In this episode, I share practical ways to let go with compassion and remind you of this truth: you are not required to keep shrinking to keep others comfortable. You are not disloyal for choosing peace, and you are not difficult for needing respect. Choosing yourself gently is unapologetic.

Sometimes we think that when God doesn’t answer right away, it means something is wrong with us or that we’re being ignored — but that’s not the truth. When your blessing takes time, it’s because God is preparing you and preparing what you asked for. 

You are right where you need to be, and the work happening in you is just as important as the blessing you’re praying for.

Some things take time because the person you’re becoming needs to meet the blessing you’re praying for — emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. So don’t rush the process.

In Episode 182, I guided you through the affirmation “I am prioritizing my life now.” I reminded you that so many of us give endlessly — to our children, our partners, our families, our friends, and even to strangers — and often we forget to pour back into ourselves. I encouraged you to pause, breathe deeply, and look at your own life to see where you need care, rest, and kindness. 

Prioritizing yourself is not selfish; it is necessary. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and you deserve to be full, restored, and renewed. God has given you one life, one body, and even He modeled rest for us. Today, I asked you to choose you.
