She received the Boston Service Award at graduation as voted on by the faculty at New England Law. While in law school, Liz interned at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office Trial Division and was an Honors Judicial Intern with the Suffolk County Juvenile Court. She also worked at a Legal Aid clinic and for a domestic relations attorney.

She is a member of the Women’s, Massachusetts, Boston, and the American Bar Associations. In addition to her Juris Doctorate, Liz has a Master’s Degree in Education from Harvard University (1992) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Psychology from Swarthmore College (1990). Liz was the Director of Community Nursery School in Lexington, MA, for thirteen years prior to law school.

Thank you to Danielle Stare for leading our October 10th Empower Women event, Women’s Health in Midlife. She discussed various topics around women’s health, including breast health for Breast Cancer Awareness month, reproductive aging and sexual health, nutrition and bone health. 

Danielle Stare RN, MSN, FNP is a family nurse practitioner with 14 years of experience in Internal Medicine.  Danielle completed her undergraduate Bachelor of Science as Summa Cum Laude from Boston College in 1998 and Master’s of Science from the University of New Hampshire in 2004.  Danielle started her career as a critical care nurse then nurse practitioner at Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston MA.  Danielle transitioned to the community and joined an internal medicine practice, Steward Primary Care of Methuen, in May 2009.  

Danielle has maintained her relationship with Boston College and has served as a clinical preceptor helping to educate the next generation of nurse practitioners for over 10 years.  She also serves as a preceptor for the MGH Institute of Health Professionals. Danielle blends Eastern and Western medicine into the care of her patients. She believes in preventative medicine, nutrition and lifestyle modification in addition to pharmacological remedies when needed to treat disease processes and chronic medical conditions. She carries these practices into her own life and her family’s health.  

When Danielle is not busy caring for patients and teaching she enjoys spending time with her three daughters and her husband Michael. She strives to maintain a healthy work-life balance to prioritize her and her family’s physical and mental health. Danielle enjoys traveling and hobbies including home improvement projects, cooking, biking, hiking, skiing and strength training.

Thank you to Stephanie Seferian for leading our August 8th Empower Women event, The 5 Pillars of Responsible Decluttering. Whether you have kids, are looking to downsize or want to live more simply, chances are you have accumulated a large amount of “stuff” over the years that you would like to get rid of. Although Marie Kondo’s “spark joy” decluttering introduced millions to minimalism, Kondo and other prominent minimalists fail to advocate for responsible decluttering without placing the burden of our excess stuff on the planet. 

Stephanie outlined the 5 Pillars of Responsible Decluttering, including measuring true value and prioritizing quality over quantity. She also answered questions and talked about where and how to donate the trickiest of household items.
