Dear Empowered Wayer -
My mission is to pull back the curtain on reality and introduce you to the unseen life force that energizes everything.
Listen to today’s podcast with an open mind and heart.
* You may discover that you knew there is something more to living well than what the world has taught you.
* You may learn that there is an unseen world that surrounds us with love, but you couldn’t see it because you didn’t know it was there.
* You may realize that you are the bridge between the seen and the unseen.
And then you stand at the pivot point of two paths.
» Do you choose to continue on your comfortable path, guided by your ego?
» Or do you take a deep breath and step onto the other path -the one where you meet the living, loving energy of Life and dance with it?
To help make your choice, I created a short meditation called “Live as Presence as Your Life Unfolds.” Please listen and give it a 5 star rating - it helps raise the visibility of my work.
Be the Presence of Love. Be the one who chooses differently. Be empowered and the way will open to you.
Love and Light,
Kathryn
Hello Empowered Wayers!Last time, I shared an excerpt from my book, “Drop the Leash: Let Go of the Past and Love in the Present.” Today, I read a part of the book that describes the origin story - how dogs became companions and champions of love.
Please take a moment a listen with an open heart. Then go hug your dog - he knows how to love unconditionally and forgive immediately.
Love & Light,
Kathryn
Hello Empowered Wayers -
I wrote a book several years ago called “Drop the Leash: Let Go of Your Past and Live in the Present.” It begins with the story of a young woman who is homeless and cut off from other people, by her choice. A dog shows up and she has to decide whether to let it into her world.
The narrator is a dog named Avatar, and he reveals how dogs manage to stay happy (and people don’t). Avatar has been around humans for long enough to see where we go astray. And he’s here to help us.
I would love to hear if you enjoyed this recording. If I receive some favorable comments or thumbs up, I will continue sharing excerpts from the book.
As always, thank you for being part of Empowered Way.
Love & Light,
Kathryn
Hello Empowered Wayers!
Thank you for being part of this movement. It makes my heart sing to see how often you read or listen to these posts. Please leave me a note so I know it wasn’t just a fluke or a mistake :-)
Last time, I mentioned the book, “Emergence: Seven Steps to Radical Life Change,” by Derek Rydall. If you’re a self-help junkie like me, this book is like a light shining in the tunnel to lead you home.
The premise is that the perfect blueprint of you, as fully evolved and living well, is already inside of you. Everything you could ever need is right there, inside.
The problem is that we have been trained to look to others for answers. That’s what the entire self-help industry is based on and how they sell their products and services. I admire many of the leaders in that industry, but I have found another way.
Read Emergence. Do the seven steps. Then get back to me and let me know if you agree that you are enough. Right here, right now.
To your emergence,
Kathryn

I am a Women’s Wealth Coach and I love to read books about money.
There, I have confessed a hidden secret about me. My library is filled with books that discuss wealth, finance, and money.
But it’s the three books I talk about on today’s podcast that made the difference. My hope in sharing these books is that you will discover them for yourself.
A Happy Pocket Full of Money, By David Cameron Gikandi
The Energy of Money, by Maria Nemeth, Ph.D.
The Money Tree, by Kathryn Eriksen

Hello Empowered Wayers:
Remember that scene from the Wizard of Oz, when the scarecrow asked for a brain? And the tin man asked for a heart? It turns out, they already had what they thought they were missing.
The same is true for you.
If you’re like most people, your mind dominates your heart. Your thoughts and beliefs are the framework from which you make decisions. Your heart, not so much.
As Albert Einstein noted, “Don’t let your brain interfere with your heart.”
Researchers at the HeartMath Institute have discovered many startling facts about the heart. I share a few of them in the podcast, and then explain why it’s so important to include your heart in all decisions.
When you don’t, it allows your ego to wreck havoc in your life. Your heart only knows what is best for you. It doesn’t play games, it isn’t passive-aggressive, and it definitely plays fair.
Why don’t we listen to our heart more often? That’s a question that has endless answers. The best answer is that you will listen to your heart in this moment. (You will, right?)
In the end, your heart can access a different source of energy than your mind. It can connect to a higher power, infinite intelligence, and abundant love. Why wouldn’t you listen to it?
As the Sufi poet, Rumi, said,
Why are you knocking at every other door? Go, knock at the door of your own heart.
What will you find when you open the door of your heart? Peace, joy, love, forgiveness, and compassion. But you will also discover something else:
I looked in temples, churches, and mosques. But I found the Divine within my heart. -Rumi
Be well,
Kathryn
Hello Empowered Wayers -
This month, we have been exploring the concept of time and aging.
It’s a topic near and dear to my heart, because I have reached the magical age of 60-something. Everyone seems younger than me and I notice my body creaking just a tiny bit.
But more importantly, it’s who I am and how I show up in the world that matters.
Please listen to the podcast, and let me know how you manage your aging.
* What to you do to stay healthy?
* Who do you listen to or read that inspires you to become more?
* What are your thoughts about getting older?
Let’s make this a dialogue, not a monolog!
Waiting with anticipation,
Kathryn
Hello Empowered Wayer:
June is the start of Spring, but for us, it’s a time to look at…time.
Maybe because my birthday is next month, but I have been thinking a lot about time. One more trip around the sun doesn’t mean the same to a 60-something as it does to a 10-something.
It all depends on the stories we tell ourselves.
* I could tell myself that I have already lived most of my life or
* I could tell myself that there’s still a lot more to do in the time I have left.
Either story is true. And depending on which story I tell myself, that’s what I will see in the mirror. A middle age woman with wrinkled skin or a vibrant mature woman with a sparkle in her eye.
It’s so obvious that we miss it.
You see yourself through the lens of your stories.
Why not tell uplifting stories? It’s always your choice.
Toward the end of the podcast, I share several steps in the Story Alchemy process. It’s a simple technique to transform limiting stories to empowered ones.
And it will change who you see in the mirror.
Love & light,
Kathryn
Hello Empowered Wayers -
Wherever I go on the internet, it seems as if everyone is feeling overwhelmed.
* too much is out of our control
* loss of trust in our leaders
* fear has become the new pandemic
When I find myself caught in the throes of fear, it remind me of a story I read by Michael Neill, the author of “The Inside-Out Revolution.” I share my own version in this week’s podcast.
Please take a deep breath and know that we are going to be okay.
Go inside and connect with the infinite love that created you. Allow it to energize your thoughts, then go out into the world.
It’s called Being Human - the surest path to find our way home.
Love & light,
Kathryn
P.S. If you’re feeling out of control with your finances, I may be able to help. Book a free call and we’ll talk about it. Let’s talk!
Hello Empowered Wayers:
Have you ever been so immersed in the moment that you forget yourself?
That happened to me when I began writing my first novel, “Heart Dancing.” I was so enamored with the creative process that hours would fly by without me noticing. It was only when my husband reminded me that it was time for dinner that I returned to my reality.
But there was always a faint sense of grief at leaving the reality I created in my mind.
Looking back, I now realize that it doesn’t matter which reality I was in (inner v. outer). What matters is how much of me was in it.
You create your own realities.
Life is a mirror of your inner world. Your thoughts and beliefs are reflected to you in a physical form.
Think back on your life and recall the troubled times. What were your thoughts in the middle of the crisis? What did you decide based on your fearful thoughts?
Now, looking back, can you see that there were other options? You may have been blind to these options because your fear dominated your decisions.
At some point, you created your reality.
When you notice how your inner world impacts your outer world, you will become more mindful of your thoughts and beliefs.
Awareness is always the first step to creating a new reality.
You are the only one who can change your reality.
The world’s reality tilted in 2020 when governments required quarantines. Disruption occurred in everyday routines, work, income, and school. Politics became even more divisive, with public health used as a weapon against those who didn’t obey. Racial tensions erupted into public view and cultural norms were uprooted and replaced, seemingly overnight.
How did you cope during that time of uncertainty?
For me, I became depressed and lonely. It felt like the world was ending and I would die alone. The media fed my fear (which I allowed). This down ward spiral continued, until I reminded myself that, “I create my reality.”
I began watching less the news and more time on connecting to Divine Love. I could feel the energy shift in my body, away from fear-based thinking to heart-based living. It took intention and deliberate practices, but I reached the point where I could write again (my latest book, “The Money Tree” was the result).
Even during a world-wide pandemic, I changed my reality. No one else could do it for me.
The same is true for you.
Are you happy with your reality now?
After you know you are the creator of what you are experiencing, the next logical question is: “Are you happy with your creation?”
Sit with this question and allow the answer to come from your heart, not your head.
Your head/mind will convince you that you can’t make that big change, or move to a new place. It wants you to stay safe, and it will pull out all the stops.
Your heart/soul will not try to convince you of anything. It waits for you to be still and listen. Your heart/soul has a direct connection to Divine Mind.
Learn to check into your heart/soul and allow that energy to guide you. Your reality will shift to reflect your inner direction. The blinders will drop off and new opportunities will magically appear.
As Sarah Landon says, “You are the creator inside of your creation.” When you regain your power to create your reality from the inside-out, transformation follows naturally.
Immerse yourself in your inner reality and watch your beautiful life unfold with grace and ease. I call it “Heart Dancing.”
Take the 21 Day Heart Dancing Challenge and experience a shift from head based survival to heart infused living.
Let me hear from you - how did you change your reality today?
Love & Light,
Kathryn
