One year ago, I was sent home from work due to the growing concern over the COVID-19 Pandemic. A year later, the world has changed in ways no one could imagine. As an artist, along with others in my industry, our careers have slowed down or stopped altogether as we patiently wait for it to be safe to create art again in the spaces we come to know and love. Over the past year there was a lot of loss for everyone in the world, but there was also time to reflect. I spent a lot of time doing that, and came to realize that even though this last year was not what anyone expected, I grew in ways that I didn't think were possible. Today, I'm sharing with you all what I learned about myself, and as an artist, this past year and why I think it has given me so much to look forward to.
