We are kicking off October Mondays with with Kevin Morrison from EBARA to get things moving as we learn how he quite literally came up in the industry.
EBARA Pumps Americas Corporation in Rock Hill, SC. With a deep-rooted connection to his hometown of Richburg, SC, Kevin leverages his extensive experience to oversee the Customer Service, After Market Service, Pump Application Engineers, Product Management, and Outside Sales Team departments. His primary objective is to drive growth by expanding the network of Distributors and OEM partners, while supporting existing customers and introducing innovative products. Under his leadership, he has strategically realigned the sales teams to target two key segments of the centrifugal pump market, resulting in a 6% sales growth over the last year and a projected overall sales increase of 12-15% this year. Outside of his professional life, Kevin enjoys woodworking, DIY home improvements, spending quality time with his family, and savoring all that life has to offer.

Brian graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Education for Secondary Mathematics. While in college, he was a member of the University of Alabama Cross Country team. He taught high school for nine years as well as coached track and field. He left teaching in 1999 to go into IT and started his own company about seven years ago.
In 2010, Brian started going to Uganda, where he fell in love with the people and the country. He now travels there twice each year.
Brian has been married to Shawn for 37 years (of marital bliss), and they have one son, Chase, who now is a police officer in Northport.
He is an elder at Capstone Church, where he is considered the “Old People” of Capstone.When he is not in Uganda, he enjoys spending time at their cabin on the Tombigbee and smoking ribs or briskets.

Kathy Nelson, PE is the Founder and Principal at KN Utility Telecom Consulting, a firm specializing in utilities telecommunications strategy. Ms. Nelson has over 31 years of experience in the utility telecommunications industry including a long career of 25 years at Great River Energy, serving on the board of directors for UTC for 10 years including as Chairwoman from 2017 – 2018, providing strategic direction and leading IEEE standards development at Ondas Networks, providing strategic telecommunications consulting for utilities at West Monroe Partners and most recently founding KN Utility Telecom Consulting.
Ms. Nelson is a strong supporter of women in STEM, hosting a podcast “Ordinarily Extraordinary – conversations with women in STEM”. Ms. Nelson resides in Minnesota and is the mother to three adult children and a lively sheepadoodle dog.

Brian Henry is the Sr. Director of Affiliate Relations & Education for the American Society of Plumbing Engineers. He has 35 years in the Municipal, Fire, HVAC, and Plumbing industry.
He is married to Christine (35 yrs), with three children, Ethan(30), Allie(28), Audrey(14). Along with spending family time at the beach with the family, umpiring baseball is a passion.

Sean Cleary finished college in 2008, not the best time to be entering the workforce. He spent a few years teaching physical sciences at the college level, and found a passion for teaching all things STEM. This enthusiasm has served him well in his work as E-marketing Specialist at Electro Static Technology, which is largely technical education for electric motor users, specifiers, and manufacturers. Off the clock, his hobbies include collecting books, records, and shelves sturdy enough to hold them.

John Brennan is the Director of IIoT at A. W. Chesterton, the makers of the Chesterton Connect™ IIoT analytics platform optimized for rotary equipment. John has an extensive background in industrial sales and product marketing from several companies, the most prominent of which was MODICON, now Schneider Electric, where he spent many years selling PLC’s and automation equipment. After success in sales at MODICON, he was promoted to product manager to develop and launch the Quantum Automation Series PLC, the most successful PLC from MODICON. John previously worked with the development team of the Chesterton Connect, was a sales engineer for variable speed drives, sold and serviced industrial flow meters, and spent many years in business development and product marketing in the software business with Cadence Design Systems and The MathWorks.

He is a book author, conference speaker, thought leader, and published in domestic and international trade journals. Jeff is also the past Membership Services Director for the Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP). Jeff was recently listed as one of the top one hundred professionals to follow by Upkeep.

Charli is joined on the pod this week by Mike Mancini to talk about his journey thought the industry.
Mike Mancini started his career in 1974 at Ingersoll-Rand designing pumps for the US Navy SSN 688 and Trident submarine program. He was Vice President of Worldwide Aftermarket Services for Ingersoll-Dresser Pumps. He had profit responsibility for a $370 million-dollar business and control of over 22 repair centers.
Mike went into business as an independent pump consultant in 2003. He worked with many customers in varied markets in the training of personnel, specification development, root cause analysis, and strategic planning and process improvement. Mike is now President of Total Solutions for Hydro, Inc. His job responsibilities mirror his consulting work, supporting customers in reducing their total cost of pump operation.
