Charli had the opportunity to sit down with Brad Baumann this week.  

His journey started with a small military defense company for nearly 13 years, of which, he was attending evening classes to complete my mechanical engineering degree. After several years and a couple “two-time championships” courses, Brad graduated from Oklahoma State University with my BSME in the fall of 2019. His  professional work experience and drive for innovation is what led him to OsecoElfab, or “OE” for short. OE is a pressure intelligence company with an extensive background in rupture disc technology and pressure relief solutions. In all his professional development, safety and protection has been a priority. Whether it’s working teaching EOD technicians to diffuse inert training aides or ensuring plant operators within the industry are protected from the equipment they use; Brad's interest is aligned to protecting and saving lives.

Charli brings Peter Eelman on to talk about what the future of manufacturing looks like in this bonus episode.

Peter Eelman’s business career has always been centered around the IMTS Show. Entering the manufacturing technology industry in 1980 with the Wiedemann Division of Warner & Swasey, one of his first assignments was the production of the 1980 IMTS Show. After 16 years on the exhibitor side of IMTS, he joined AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology and has been managing IMTS ever since.

During his tenure, IMTS has continued to be among the top three domestic events in the United States, as ranked by several industry measures, and he has overseen the introduction of technology-based advancements such as IMTS.com, IMTSTV, the e-kit operations manual and the introduction of the fixed-price Custom Block Package System, which has been hailed as the model for cost containment in show operations.
Peter has served on numerous advisory boards and committees, most notably the Chicago Labor Management Council, the Choose Chicago Advisory Council and the Friends of McCormick Place, a group involved in the building of the current complex.
In addition to IMTS, Peter is responsible for AMT's international trade shows, which have included major events in China, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, and throughout Europe.

Charli had an amazing chat with Cindy Kransler about career in the water industry.  Cindy is the Vice President of Technology Sales for Mueller Water Products. In the water industry for over 40 years with Distribution, Water Metering & Pipe Repair Clamp Sales experience. Member of AWWA, former Chair of the NY State Section of AWWA, Past involvement with National League of Cities, NY & National Rural Water, WASDA, NY Conference of Mayors and all NY State local water conferences. 2018 Recipient of the Kenneth J. Miller Founders Award for work toward raising money for “Water for People” through “Ride with Purpose”. On the Board of directors of Ridewithpurpose.org as a proud member of the Water Buffaloes.

This week Charli had the pleasure to talk to Regina Higgins. 

Regina is the Eastern US Reginal Sales Manager for Municipal Markets with Grundfos Pumps Corporation. She's worked in the muni industry for 15 years providing pumping and digital solutions for the entire water cycle—both wastewater & water. Prior to Grundfos, Regina is a three-time author and presenter of technical papers at WEFTEC, as well as developing & implementing a national pump school program.
