King David had a heart for God and his writings captured in the OT reveal David’s connection with God and provide insight into abiding. His understanding that success came from God, that God holds the highest honor, and that Spiritual Realm trumps the Physical Realm kept him connected to the umbrella. His failure to embed that same understanding into Solomon devastated his kingdom.

Discussing 1 Corinthians, Paul reminds us that the Spiritual Realm holds information that we need for understanding God. We see in part because we think the Physical Realm reveals all the answers to life. Like children, we need to ask questions and allow truth to unfold with wonder.

In this Episode, we are diving into some diverse passages from both Old Testament and New Testament that reveal moments where the Physical Realm and Spiritual realms intersected. The verse below reveals how Jesus spoke simultaneously about both. Jesus' death created the bridge, or wormhole, or whatever helps you visualize that we go through him to the Father. The Substance of the Trinity is connected to us constantly. It is up to us to allow God to open our eyes to see it. Until we place God at Highest honor over our lives, align our lives in simplicity to his goodness, appreciate the separation of the realms, and submit our understanding to his, we will not demonstrate the character needed to see God's glory. This is not a formula, it is proximity. It is holding onto the umbrella so we can soak up God's substance and allow his character to become our own.

I will emphasize what I added. For whoever wants to save their physical life will lose it, but whoever loses their physical life for me will find an empowered life. Thinking back, Jesus considers this physical realm life a dead end. Until we realize that, we will never let go and search for what is really vital. Let's now look at verse 24 adding some context. “Whoever wants to be my disciple by living a spiritually empowered life, must deny the body’s desire to take on corruption and take up their freedom won on the cross and grab hold of my umbrella handle.”

Jesus tells us in John 5 :28-29,“Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.” Living in Kairos time is mandatory. God is not playing. We must learn to hear with our whole hearts and obey. This world will burn, we do not want to experience that. Grab hold of the handle of the umbrella and learn to hear his voice, and nudge.

We explore Mt 21:1–11 where Jesus directs his disciples to get him a donkey to ride. When we wrestle with the idea that we have the same spirit in, around and through us that Jesus did, we are challenged in the same way the disciples were to believe his words and apply them to concrete tasks.

Down to the details on the cross, the word of God is united. The events of redemption, executed perfectly to the prophecies, prove God’s dominion. If God connected with us to provide redemption, trust him to connect you with him, with others, and with yourself in the timeline of eternity.

Naaman’s servants went to him and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, ‘Wash and be cleansed.’ Naaman's misunderstanding is that honor rests in the physical realm instead of the spiritual realm. By shifting his understanding that the spiritual realm is primary, he could then see that God deserves Highest honor.

Living the Kairos Life: Holding the Umbrella Handle

To live the Kairos life, we must keep our hands on the umbrella handle. When we do, we become infused with the Spirit and start hearing His voice, sharing His concerns, and speaking His plan for us and others.

The Scripture (John 14:28-31):

"You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe. I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me, but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me. Come now; let us leave."

Breaking It Down:

VERSE 28 - Three Cool Statements:

1. This life is not as good as it gets. His physical death ushers in something much better.
2. He's laying foundation for understanding the spiritual realm's superiority and His ability to cross over the chasm.
3. He's referencing the superiority of His full substance over the incarnate substance as Jesus.

I take comfort that Jesus was so patient laying out this foundation. It helped them rest during the three days He was in the tomb. It wasn't easy, but it established hope.

VERSE 29 - Assurance of His Word:

He provides assurance of His word and future. In the same way God spoke to Moses out of the burning bush, Jesus demonstrates His connection with God's substance to know events beyond the present so their honor for God will increase as they unfold.

The disciples' response became: "It happened before as He described, so I can trust what He says will come true for me."

VERSE 30 - Addressing Their Fears:

Jesus switches gears, addressing their fears. He knows the spiritual war He's been facing is taking on physical skin. They'll now see the conflict. His statement brings comfort: "It's gonna look bad, but the power of God has this under control."

Think back to Episode 2 about the strong man. The devil cannot bind Jesus. He can't sway the timeline. Jesus is impervious to his tricks. He proved that in the desert. Here, in this simple statement, Jesus stands on His firm foundation and builds one for them.

VERSE 31 - Why Trials Exist:

If you've ever wondered why trials exist, here's one reason: Trials, when we allow God's power to give us ability to endure and overcome the devil, glorify God. It's that simple.

When we're connected and filled with God, trials allow us to absorb the depth of our love for ourselves, God, and others. They reveal our growth.

Critical Truth: God does not put us into a trial that will harm us—as long as we hold on to the umbrella. Our choice is to hold on. Our tendency is to hear from God, start the trial, then run off ahead of Him. In doing so, we change the Kairos timeline and end up suffering things God did not intend for us.

Jesus' Final Line:

"Come on now, let's leave." Nothing fancy, just straight: "Ok, let's get back to work."

• When we stay connected to Him, it will work out and have impact on us, on others, and for His glory

Kairos Time: Being God's Hands and Feet in Divine Moments

Discover why being "the hands and feet of Jesus" depends on connection with the Trinity—and how God orchestrates life to create perfect healing opportunities requiring instant response.

The Forge Illustration:

Joe works in the forge following linear, chronological time—completing tasks, focusing on what's directly in front of him. Life is simple.

Sam is the project manager operating in Kairos time—where clock dials matter less than project status. He finds who's available, skilled, ready, and able to jump in and keep flow going. He teaches people to respond instantly. Every delay affects every task downstream.

The Trinity's Perfect Flow:

Within the Trinity, three persons connect in perfect unison. Jesus was like Joe: knew His place, executed what the Father determined, surrendered to the Spirit constantly in contact with the Father. The Father was like Sam: surveying the landscape, planning, looking for opportunities to reveal the kingdom.

We Are Christ's Body:

As believers, we serve as God's hands and feet. We're all connected within His nature. When your body is in pain, your mind is aware everywhere through the central nervous system. With Christ as our head, He's connected to His body through a spiritual "CNS."

When we connect with the Trinity, His "CNS" communicates about needs—traumas, physical needs, celebrations, obstacles. Kairos time is how we connect healthily. When Jesus looks to heal a need, He recruits people who will be blessed by answering that need.

The Devil's Strategy:

The devil constantly prevents us from answering calls. Kairos nudges require immediate response. Any delay allows devil intervention. Kairos time is spiritual warfare requiring precision and execution.

The Consequence of Hesitation:

When we hesitate, the window closes. The person is no longer thinking about the same things. The emotion gets stuffed and the person freezes.

Our Role:

When nudged, ask what God is healing in us and let that person process what God's doing for them. If given a word, say it then be silent. If called to intercede, pray.

Our Choices Matter:

God's plan unfolds according to humanity's choices. We play a role in unfolding God's Kingdom. Our obedience impacts the timeline. If I hesitate when nudged, God must set up new scenarios. My hesitation requires reconfiguration. Had I complied, the kingdom advances sooner.

Jesus' Perfection:

Jesus stayed connected with His Father through the Spirit. Because He always executed instructions instantly, everything happened with perfection. Every prophecy was fulfilled on specific days and moments.

Practical Application:

Silence the noise to hear God's nudging. Study God's Word to recognize truth vs. deception. Only then will we effectively participate in building God's kingdom.

The Simplicity:

Kairos time is simple—our only priority becomes listening to God and abiding with Him. The deeper we dive into Kairos time, the simpler life becomes—God assumes responsibility for details.

Body Obedience: When Your Yes is Actually Yes

Discover what it means to worship God with your body through the parable of two sons—and why the longest 18 inches is between your head and your heart.

The Four Body Elements:

In ReignMakers lens, the body encompasses four elements: Worship, Action, Fasting, and Fellowship.

Body vs. Soul:

Different from the soul, the body is our outward expression of heart alignment—a physical manifestation revealed after the crowd goes away. Its true nature shows most when someone asks something of us. When we willingly choose to connect with God's plans, we see evidence of worship when we let our yes be yes and complete the task. That's worshiping God with our body.

The Parable of Two Sons (Matthew 21:28-32):

A man had two sons. He told the first: "Go work in the vineyard today."

First son: "I will not"—but later changed his mind and went.

He told the second son the same thing.

Second son: "I will, sir"—but did not go.

Jesus asked: "Which did what the father wanted?"

"The first," they answered.

Jesus' Response: "Truly I tell you, tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom ahead of you. For John came to show you righteousness, and you did not believe him, but tax collectors and prostitutes did. Even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe."

Unlike many parables, this mystery is minimal. Jesus wanted them to hear clearly: They are the first son.

Filtering Through Body Elements:

To the Pharisees (First Son):

WORSHIP: You didn't display worship because you didn't understand my heart. You learned the right things to say when my eyes were on you, when you were in public. But you never followed up. Your soul said yes but your body said no.

FASTING: When I asked you to set aside childish/worldly things to gain maturity, you refused. You allowed flesh to rule you.

ACTION: When I gave you a chance to contribute, you chose laziness.

FELLOWSHIP: When I invited deeper connection, you chose your own way.

To Tax Collectors/Prostitutes (Second Son):

WORSHIP: I respect how you feel. You're young and not ready to work. But as you struggled with your decision, you trusted me as your father—that I wouldn't ask something unless it was good for you.

FASTING: I respect the struggle you went through wrestling with your flesh. You initially responded out of passions, but you overcame flesh and chose what's best.

ACTION: When your soul resolved to honor me, you gathered strength to overcome selfish desires. You rallied your will into action. I am proud of you.

FELLOWSHIP: I see that you value connection to me. You responded in selfishness with a touch of rebellion, but you understand my value to you. Thank you for choosing connection over selfishness.

The 18-Inch Problem:

I've heard many times that the longest distance is the 18 inches between the head and the heart. The church effectively teaches warfare strategies in the mind. Some say it's the real battlefield.

I contend the other parts of the heart are equally important. If we leave out the other three parts, we'll never advance in connection to God. It's like fighting without all your armor.
