Empowering Women - Guest Cynthia Kumah

In this podcast, I spoke to Cynthia on many interesting topics that affect women today. We talked about how we should be independent and also ensure that we have the right circle of friends. My key takeaway from this session is how women should not be in competition with one another, but instead do our bit to empower our fellow sisters.

Cynthia Kumah is a doctoral student at the Department of sociology and anthropology at Carleton University. She holds an MA in Development Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, and BA in Human Resource Management from Wisconsin International University College, Ghana. She is the founder and director of C-Trust Foundation, and NGO which facilitates environmental, social, advocacy and human rights activities, and which seeks to empower women, protect the rights of young women, and promotes citizen participation.

Cynthia enjoys socializing, networking, conducting work, and lives by Malcolm Gladwell’s belief that “If you work hard enough and assert yourself, and use your mind and imagination, you can shape the world to your desires.
