One of the most popular media depictions of Emergency Medicine, the show ER ran for 15 seasons. Although it had its flaws, it showed many of the most exciting aspects of working in an Emergency Department.

The last 50 years or so include the entire history of the modern EMS system, including EMTs and Paramedics.

The first TV show to portray EMS and introduce the public to paramedics - EMERGENCY! ran from 1972 to 1977.

The final episode in the Larrey series. The ambulance from 1487 to the present. 

Of the innovations Larrey brought to EMS and emergency care, triage is certainly one of the most impactful to care in both military and civilian emergency situations.
