Encounter Faith Podcast

Pastor Pamela continues our Language of Belief series.

SHOW NOTES

The Encounter Faith Podcast is dedicated to creating space to slow down and dive deeper into the critical conversations we’re having every week at Good Shepherd. We fundamentally believe that you cannot encounter the risen Lord unchanged, and through the replays of our Sunday Sermons and conversations with our pastors and community leaders, we are prayerfully pursuing the author and the perfecter of our faith, together.

We’d love to meet you! Email us, check out our website, and come worship with us!

We are moving forward in faith. Join us.

Today’s message was originally delivered on Sunday October 4 in our Chapel and you can watch it here.

What if Biblical Unity has far less to do with agreement than we think?

Host Ross Cochran sits down with Pastor Elisabeth Lectka to talk about unity as part of Good Shepherd’s Language of Belief series. They explore why we so easily equate unity with being around people who think like us, how the early church challenged that assumption through the relationship between Jews and Gentiles, and how Christians can remain connected across genuine theological and cultural disagreements.

They also talk honestly about the harder parts of unity: politics, denominational differences, women in ministry, the temptation to decide who is “right,” and the humility required to recognize that an issue can be deeply important without being the most important thing.
