Protestant-Evangelicals are often uncertain what to think of Mary, the mother of Jesus. We know we do not want to elevate her as do Roman Catholics, and yet, we, too, must be careful not to default to a tradition of our own in which Mary is altogether dismissed. In this brief meditation, therefore, we walk through several texts that enable us to see Mary through a biblical lens, and perhaps, come to refer to her also as -blessed- since she is indeed, the woman chosen by God to bring about the incarnation of the eternal Son, our only Savior, Jesus Christ.
