And all of this is an accomplished work by Jesus Christ which was freely and lavishly poured out upon you, even before it was applied to you when you heard and believed.

But God in His mercy brought me to a saving faith in the finished work of His Son on my behalf. This is a list of affirmations about Christian identity I used while in treatment many years ago. The glorious truth about your identity as a Christian is that you are becoming who you already are, whom God has already made you to be in His Son. So while worldly religion is all about becoming something that you are not so that you might find acceptance with God at judgment- the gospel instead tells us God has already made you -accepted in the Beloved- -Ephesians 1-6, NKJV-- it is your task now to think on these things, and work out your identity as you await that Day when these things will be fully realized.
