The incarnation of God the Son is the paradigm for all reality. For in the incarnation alone is revealed the true knowledge of God and what it means to be human. Only in the God-Man do we discover reality in the midst of a world of lies and fantasy.

The primary calling for the Christian is to proclaim the gospel. But there is serious danger today of setting aside the prophetic word in favor of a political platform. This is an appeal to recognize this danger and return to the mission of the church.

The incarnation of the Son of God occurred within a backdrop of a fallen humanity in wilful alliance with the evil one. The choice had been made at the Garden by Adam. Yet, God became man in order to redeem humanity from that choice, and bring His own into the kingdom of the beloved Son. This reality produces genuine transformation in those who have been so transferred from enslavement from Satan, into the glorious liberty of the sons of God.

This is a follow-up and brief summary of the points covered in the recent exposition of Luke chapter one.

The promises made to Abraham, and then David are the basis of the redemptive narrative which is fulfilled in Christ. In Christ the biblical covenants are fulfilled resulting redemption for all who belong to Him. And this redemption is to true holiness and righteousness being worked out in the believer's character as he or she is conformed to Christ.

The Gospel of Luke presents what is called, -The Great Reversal,- wherein the lowly are raised up and the proud brought down- the poor are blessed and the rich are sent away empty. This is a direct rebuke to the apostate religion of Jerusalem at that time, and to the modern narrative of hoarding wealth and the celebrity rich of today. Luke presents the God who daily works the impossible on behalf of His people, bringing good news of blessing to those whom the world consider useless.

In this epilogue of his Gospel, John presents Jesus as our provider, reconciler, and arbitrator. These three aspects of our Lord's character, and His actions toward us are essential to understand if we are to be effective ambassadors for belief in Christ.

Jesus makes new wine for a new people under a new covenant. He calls no the -righteous,- instead He makes the worst of sinners righteous, as only He can do.

Spiritual vitality begins with recognizing the necessity and source of spiritual life, or regeneration, the Holy Spirit. This truth is foundational to the Christian life- you must be born of the Spirit.
