The English word "praise" basically means to assess someone or some thing's value and tell others about it. Tons of verses through the Bible, and specifically the Psalms, mention praise as something the followers of God are expected to do. However, the Hebrew words translated as praise in English often have more specific and practical actions are a significant part of them.
