Joel is known as someone who loves Jesus, is a dedicated family man, a professional golfer with a knack for low scoring, and who loves to be involved in the community through organizations like Watermark Community Church and The First Tee. Joel currently lives with his wife, Anna, and son, Reese, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dr. Jeph Holloway holds the John L. Harris Endowed Chair of Christian Studies at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. He has an earned M.Div. and Ph.D. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, focusing in the field of Christian ethics. He has also done additional graduate study at Duke University and Columbia Theological Seminary.  Since 1990 he has served various institutions of higher learning at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Dr. Holloway’s academic contributions include over twenty-five publications and presentations. His most recent publication is The Poetics of Grace: Christian Ethics as Theodicy (Cascade, 2013). Bruce Rudd has faithfully served as pastor of Mt. Sylvan Baptist Church since May of 2011. He understands the culture of our day and the mindset of so many without Christ. He was raised in a godly home with Christian parents and says he is forever grateful for his upbringing; however, he didn’t truly come to know Christ as his personal Savior until 1996 when God radically changed his life. He had a successful career, but was plagued with alcoholism and depression. Everything changed one night in a hotel room while working out of town. It was there, he surrendered his life to Christ. He says it was and still is the greatest day of his life! As he describes it, “Christ changed me, forgave me, and gave me a new life and calling at that moment and I knew it. He totally and completely delivered me from the bondage and guilt of sin. Jesus radically changed my life. I just can’t explain it…it was the grace of God.”
