It's hard to find someone who loves sharing the Gospel with kids more than Cheryl Wilson. Her Heavenly Father met her in her fear at an early age and forever changed the trajectory of her life. Jurnee Fuentes-Bumpus radiates joy. Jesus has changed her life and she cannot wait to tell you about Him. In our second week of Easter testimonies, Jurnee shares about God using the twist and turns in her life to draw her to Him. We love to celebrate Jesus’ death and resurrection every day but we might love it even more at Easter. So we are taking three weeks this Easter to hear some testimonies of Christ Chapel women. They will be sharing when they first believed the Gospel and the difference Jesus has made in their lives. Mae Ferguson Graves starts us off. For 60 years Mae felt left behind and fought to succeed. The story of Jesus saving her is absolutely beautiful.

Yes is a beautiful word – and Susan Mendenhall has been saying it a lot lately. Yes to ministry opportunities. Yes to things outside her comfort zone. And yes to the joy of today. Without hesitation Susan humbly admits her own pain and need for the Savior. But she does not want to miss what God has for her.

In some ways, Tami’ O’Neal’s story feels like a movie – growing up on the mission field, knowing only how to dial a 2-digit phone number, and riding a bus with her sister across the Philippines (without a cell phone) hoping to find her parents at the final stop. In other ways, her story is every Christians’ calling – to follow a faithful God as He leads. Through ups and downs across multiple countries she has followed – now finding joy teaching a group of 4th grade boys on Sunday mornings.

Discipleship doesn’t mean you have all the answers. It simply means you’re willing to invite someone into your life and say follow me as I follow Jesus. It might be having someone into your living room, joining her for a walk, or sitting across from her over a cup of coffee. And Alexi Dickerson and Camille Adams have done all three of those together. They wrap up our three weeks on discipleship – directed and hosted by our Young Adult women.

Caroline Pearce takes the mic and asks Misty Denman some phenomenal questions. She invites Misty to share stories from her life so we can perhaps learn the easy way some lessons Misty observed or may have learned the hard way. In our second week on discipleship, Misty and Caroline show us that life can be hard but God is always good. And perhaps the most likely place to find or be a mentor is right where you work.

We are excited about the next three weeks because we are handing over the mic – or at least handing over one of the mics. We asked some of our young adult women to take the lead on a few episodes, decide the topic, and ask the questions. And they chose discipleship. It’s something close to the heart of Jesus -- an opportunity to partner with someone and say, “follow me as I follow Christ.”  Listen in over the next few weeks as Brooke, Caroline, and Alexi ask Misty, Camille and Kathy about what discipleship is and why it matters.
