Mary’s faith that God would do what He promised was not based on what she knew in her young, inexperienced mind, but on the word of God given to her by the angel which the Holy Spirit used to create faith in her.

Just as Mary was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit, so we also who have received Jesus are protected and equipped by this same gift of the Holy Spirit.
