Our encouragement today comes from some of my past research

into human competence. We all need clear guidance, information, feedback,

proper tools, and incentives to do our work. We need environmental supports

and the training to improve our repertory of behavior. Will you help raise the bar?

Our encouragement today comes from a very simple

concept. The concept of gratefully receiving suggestions, wisdom,

and interesting ideas from friends, spouses, relatives, or partners.

Let me offer you a couple of examples and challenge you to think about your own life.

and abilities to use to work and to honor God and to serve humanity.

We would do very well to simply enjoy the work we are given to do and do

do with it all our heart. Be encouraged my friends and do your work!

Our encouragement today comes from a widow returning love for hatred.

This encouragement comes when we're honoring the sacrifices and

losses from the September 11th 2001 attack on the United States of America.

This encouragement is needed to put pure evil in perspective. The Lord Jesus

Christ is victorious over ALL that's wrong! He will make all things new.

The Lord Jesus HAS defeated evil and will come again!

Our encouragement today comes from God's word in

the Apostle Paul's letter to the Corinthians. Paul doesn't let

any hardship or any stroke of bad luck or anything at all distract him

from loving, serving, giving, or pointing to life in Jesus Christ!

Paul certainly sets a new standard for dealing with our own tragedies.

Our encouragement today comes from God's word in

the book of Habakkuk. Habakkuk doesn't let ANYTHING distract him from

trusting God, praising God, worshiping God, and relying on God his Savior.

So, for me, no matter what tragedies come, I'm going to continue relying on

my faith, trust, and all-powerful, all-loving God.

Our encouragement today comes from my love of Beethoven's

ninth symphony, fourth movement - Ode to Joy. I love how Andre Rieu does
