This week, we're talking about Zumba!  Do you roll your eyes at the mention?  Are you a brand-loyal? Or maybe you're fresh from ZumbAcademy?

• To round out your Zumba Knowledge, check out a Zumba video!
• It should be said that different instructors will have different routines for the same songs, and each instructor has their own style and intensity level.
• If you're curious, Kathryn's favorite Zumba dance is Gungnam Style.
• To round out your Skippy Snack bar knowledge, check out that horrible commerical!
• So I thought the lady elephant host said "New skippy snack bar presents: The Nut Shots!" She actually says, "The Nut Shells!".  Just an FYI.  Have a good week everyone.

Some changes are afoot here at Doomed to Fail. For one thing, we're no longer tumbling our way through various series - instead we've opened up each show to all the engineery/culturaly things the world has to offer. You'll also notice some changes in how the show comes together. They'll probably keep changing as we figure out how we like it. In the meantime, consider this the start of D2F Season 2.

So: this week we start off talking about bridges, then spend a lot of time talking about whether or not we should care about bridges.

In this final audio postcard, we visit Paris. You haven't been? Oh you simply must go. You simply must!

• See this episode of Stuff You Should Know for some interesting info on the Paris Metro
• Or this episode of 99% Invisible for some info an pneumatic tubes used in Paris
• Non-postcard episodes of Doomed To Fail begin again next week!

In Tim's second European audio postcard, we visit a nightclub in Madrid. ¡Fantástico!

• Kapital, the club in question (Site automatically plays music)
• Some non-nightclub things you might want to consider doing if visiting Madrid

This is the first in a series of audio postcards Tim made from his recent trip to Europe. Wish you were here!

• San Sebastian on Wikipedia
• The Napoleonic Wars prove to be less dry than I somehow assumed they would be
• The San Sebastian International Jazz Festival - pretty great!

Sorry the late posting. To make it up to you, we brought cookies! Well, talk of cookies.

Here's the deal: for the next three weeks, instead our usual shows, we'll be sending you audio postcards from Tim's recent trip to Europe. This week, in addition to letting you know the deal, we're sending you a segment that was cut out of our show on Boston. Enjoy!

• Tim will be sending audio postcards from:
• Madrid
• Paris
• San Sebastián
• Paradise Bakeries, it turns out, is not just in Boston. They are in Boston, and the American Southwest
• People like Paradise Bakeries on Yelp. Most call out the cookies. They're really good, you guys!

Special thanks to Megan Corning for her dissection of the cookie cookie, and to the nice lady who spoke to me at Paradise Bakeries.

SNAKE ALERT! SNAKE ALERT!

A 6ft python was recently lost in a local Seattle park. First Kathryn and Tim panicked. Then, they sat down to record this podcast full of all the terrifying things you should know about snakes in order to execute a well-informed panic about the coming Snakepocalypse.

Note: Due to some microphone mishaps, the audio in this episode is iffy. Please bear with us.

Notes:

• The report of the Ravenna Park python's accidental release
• The Ravenna Park Python's Twitter account
• Teeth is a film that probably shouldn't have been made.
• The Brown Tree Snake that has invaded Guam
• Wolfram Alpha - try it with tea and crumpets!
