In this episode of the Self Love Breakfast Club, Chrystal talks to one of her sister coaches, Emily Bott, in the Hunger for Happiness certification program. Emily is an emotional wellness coach who is on a mission to end the battle with food and our bodies, and having had her own struggles with binge eating disorder, she is dedicating her life to reducing the shame around food struggles and all things body-image. She talks to Chrystal about how a fitness journey turned into an obsession with food and restrictive dieting and how she hid her struggles for many years before opening up and starting on the road to healing. The things that hold us back from being vulnerable and seeking help is the immense shame and embarrassment of not having everything together – something perfectionists in particular battle with. Emily gives some guidelines for how we should think about and approach food and gets into how her eating habits and body-image have changed since she started the journey towards healing.
