Collectively, we have an addiction to constantly doing and filling as many of our days as possible. A way to escape what's lying underneath the facade, our addiction to doing prevents us from making contact with the soul. Without this conscious contact, it's easy to get wrapped up in the ego's demands - how much money we need to be happy, how to get all the external things that we're convinced we need and how we want others to perceive us, instead of living out our purpose. We're waking up and stepping off the hamster wheel. Albeit scary, it's more empowering than you can possibly imagine.
In this episode, I tell my story around addiction to stress and striving to prove my worth for nearly two decades. It's a story that almost killed me, and I'm happy to be able to share the experience from the other side. I'm here with you through all of this. Know that it's okay to feel uncomfortable and bored, restless even. It's here to help you get comfortable enough with the silence to know your true self - your soul.
In slowing down your mind, you can connect with the light within. Yoga and coming back to your body can help you reach this silence by creating space between your thoughts. Instead of thinking that you need to push harder to get the answers, you probably need to surrender and reconnect with silence. It's here that you'll find your loudest truths.
