ENDLESS BLUMMER
I Hope Both Teams Lose
Well, it's been a while. Before we can even get into the World Series talk Tuttle and Blum can't help themselves and start talking about pitch grips and how they would pitch in the modern baseball era. What's interesting though is how we continue to go back to our youth and explain how we developed our skills at a young. I think it provides valuable input for parents and their young athletes/children. We hope you find value in some of the content regarding young athletes and youth sports. Nurture the passion to play from ages 5-14. After that, start nailing down the techniques and mentality to perform at high levels.
We also recognize Fernando Valenzuela who passed away earlier this week. Fernando-mania was real!
Now, let's get to the 2024 World Series, a Rob Manfred dream come true. The Yankees vs. the Dodgers! As much as I want both teams to lose it is great for the exposure of baseball. 2 titans battling for the title. Shohei vs. Judge, the new Magic vs. Bird era?? We've got predictions on winners and an incredibly unlikely yet savory scenario!!!

David Tuttle gets us going early with his west coast vibes. He had questions about the extension of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Or, as we like to call them, the Angels in Angel Land. What exactly is the plan for the Angels? Rebuild and move on, or find a way to get a new stadium?
The Greg Maddux documentary came out last week and we marveled at the brilliance that was "The Professor". His ability to set up hitters up to months in advance! Also, he was a little bit of dirt bag but Blummer got to experience Maddux while being his teammate on the San Diego Padres.
Rob Manfred has another rule idea... 6 inning minimums for starting pitchers? Good or bad and what other adjustments need to be made to make this a reality?
It's Fantasy Football season and the draft order is out, guess who has the #1 pick in our draft?!
Also, medical update on the condition of our CrossFit King, David Tuttle. Hint, we had to put him on the 60 day IL.

I took a lot of pride in being able to switch hitting. It has become a lost art because parents at the youth level don't want their kids to struggle or be left off of a travel ball team. Learning to struggle and fail early in sports will make you a better athlete/person later in life. Not to mention, learning to switch hit may actually separate you from the pack and allow you to succeed longer in baseball... it did for me.
Later in this episode Blummer will take you behind the curtain and talk about some of the broadcast industry lingo he had to learn along the way. Some of it makes sense, some of it still doesn't!
Thank you for listening!!!

Welcome to the Endless Blummer Podcast. Hosted by David Tuttle and Geoff Blum.
-- - New Rules and the Real G.O.A.T.
Does baseball really need another rule change? Would making the playing field bigger actually make the game better? Why is it so hard for hitters to put the ball in play, that's the real issue. Blum believes pitchers are far more advanced and use analytics to their advantage to make it harder for hitters to make contact. That's the real issue, hitters making more contact. Is it that pitchers are better, or is it a dead baseball, or is it hitters approach at the plate. Tuttle and Blum dig in and offer opinions on why baseball is so hard to play and if more changes need to be made.
Also, Blum finally realizes who the real G.O.A.T. in sports is. And it's not someone from the big 3 sports that you might think. SHE is the greatest of all time in her arena and transcends all sports with her ability to dominate in her arena.
Stay tuned, future podcast will tackle the reason for less switch hitters playing baseball and how failure can make you a success.
