Jesus selects one of the greatest enemies to the Gospel in order to make him the main apostle to the Gentiles. The immediate transformation of Saul, who we will come to know as Paul, points to the overwhelming power of the Gospel to change lives.
This shows us that
no one is too far from God's salvation and gives us hope that anyone can be used by God.
