Since believers are called to patiently endure unjust suffering in view of Christ's return, Peter reminds us of 3 reasons to courageously live out our convictions in our world. Then, he gives 4 practical ways to be a loving church to serve as a refuge for believers in the midst of suffering.

In order to do this well, we depend fully on the Word of God that sustains us and matures us.

Through a living hope in Jesus, believers can find joy now—not in spite of suffering, but through it, as God uses trials to purify and grow our faith.
