Today I speak to Andy Hart, personal finance specialist, founder of Maven Adviser & The Maven Money Podcast. The below outlines what we discuss and Andy's top 3 tips.
Financial Wellbeing
The 3 health's
Mental health, Physical health & Financial health
Face your finances - face you fears. You have to be willing to get stuck into your finances if you want to change your thoughts and feelings about it.
No one is going to save you.
What gets measured improves.
Money is the fabric of society you're all playing the game, some intentionally, some passively playing the game.
The more you know the less you'll blow (ignored and illiteracy play into the hands of the big business) they earn from your lack of understanding.
It's a long journey to become financially independence.
Everything your parents tell you about money is likely to be wrong
Practical tips:
1) Andy advocates two bank accounts - one for bills - one for spending.
2) If you struggle to save any money a great way to build up some saving is premium bonds. Check out www.nsandi.com
3) Spend less than you earn!

Today I interview the hottest prospect in the EFL Championship. Ollie Watkins has scored 22 goals in all competitions this season and if you google him, it looks like a big move is on the cards.
Today we find out more about his early career at Exeter City. Hear how he couldn't concentrate when he first went there and so didn't get a contract before being asked to go back two years later. Ollie saw his brother break a leg playing Sunday league football and that made him more determined to make it professionally. He made his debut at 17 but broke into the first team properly aged 20. He played another two years before signing for Brentford.
