Tony Falconieri, Chair for the Initiative für Städte-Partnerschaften, teacher, artist, and illustrator, discusses a unique international cookbook entitled "Grenzenlos Genießen" (limitless enjoyment). Recipies from twin cities with Sonneberg, Pessac, Foggia, and Klosterneuburg created an intercultural cookbook. Working closely with the partner cities, Tony Falconieri and his team, collected regional recipes from the twin cities presented in German, French and Italian languages. Illustration of landscapes and traditional architectural landmarks are also presented, many of which Tony has created himself. The inspiration behind the book and the working process is discussed in our conversation. All profits go towards ALS research. An easy recommendation; a gift which gives twice.

Tony continues to offer courses in illustration privately but also at the VHS.

Susanne Horžinek,a unique individual marking her own path. Originally from the country previously known as Yugoslavia, she came to Germany as a young girl to be reunited with her father who had come to Germany as a so-called "guest worker". Admiring her father's craftmanship as a glassblower, she at a young age was drawn to hairdressing by seeing the transformation of customers' mood and appearance at a local hair salon. Already at 10 years of age, she had made the decision. Among other stations, she went to London to continue studying new methods, trends, and technologies at Vidal Sasson academy. Sustainability, nature and animal rights brought her to create "Fair Hair" which uses healthy alternatives to regular dyes. She also became a member of Coiffeur Justes, which recycles hair to restore ocean and other waters from pollution from toxins such as oil spills.

Inge Auerbacher, a holocost survivor author and educator recalls her early childhood in Jebenhausen and her deportation from the Schiller Schule in Göppingen to a concentration camp. She continues to educate youth and adults today though her own personal history and published works. Her messages of compassion and civil courage are more than ever relevant today. We also get the pleasure of hearing some of her poems.

Claudia and Hans Stöckle reflect on the beauty of Nepal and its people in this latest episode. Working with Doctors without Borders, Hans first went to Nepal was over 10 years ago. Now the couple have been back seven times. Wonderous mountains and welcoming people is how they describe this special place. A pediatritian and child neurologist, Hans mentored medical personal with the vision of empowering local medical staff. Claudia visited to travel and also offers her physiotherapy knowledge in training and assisting locals.

Nepal, an aleady a low resource country with poor infrastructure, continues to suffer severely due to the COVID pandemic. Many inhabitants living hand to mouth. Familes have been hit hard due to heavy restrictions and most of their income being tied to tourism.

There connection to the country and hearing of the situation Claudia and Hans have been able to help many families during the first wave through local Trecking Guide Temba, providing them with cooking equipment and foods such as rice and lentils.

Ian Maurath, discusses his adventurous bicycle trip planned with travel partner and girlfriend Lena Friedrich. Their route involves stop overs in Usbekistan, Kirgisistan and Tadschikistan, the silk road as well as China and Afghanistan borders. Combining camping with overnight stays with locals, all while carrying equipment on their backs, they plan a total of approximately 3000 kilometres and reaching altitudes of 4655 meters. Discovering new cultures, focussing on health and resilience are some of the themes of our talk. French film producer, choreographer and director Grégory Darcy, is accompanied by Angela Erlich, dancer, and cultural commissioner for the city of Kernen in our talk about their latest intercultural project entitled "Menschen Tanzen". A combinatinon of orginal music and mixed dance, dancers bring music and dance forms form their counties of origin, interwoven with choreography and world music.

The toupe consist of refugees, citizens and new immigrants from different cities, both professional and non professional. Better understanding and communication between people and cultures are central to this project.

Arta Ramadani, visited the studio on her book tour during the Intercultural Weeks in Göppingen. Originally from Pristina, Korsovo she fled in early years to Germany with her family. We chat about some of the highlights during her journalistic career as well as how she came to writing her debut book entitled "Die Reise zum ersten Kuss: Eine Kosovarin in Kreuzberg" (Voyage to the first kiss). A talent for telling the stories, she stresses that there is more that binds us then what seperates us in the human experience. Exploring her Albanian roots., stiving for freedom through the eyes of a teenage girl; this book is very relatable in its global themes and reflection on the dispora experience.
