This systematic review with network meta-analysis, "Best Exercise Options for Reducing Pain and Disability in Adults With Chronic Low Back Pain: Pilates, Strength, Core-Based, and Mind-Body. A Network Meta-analysis," assesses the efficacy of various exercise modalities for managing chronic low back pain. The authors Fernández-Rodríguez et al. analyzed 118 randomized controlled trials involving 9,710 participants to determine the most effective interventions for reducing both pain and disability. Their findings indicate that Pilates, strength, and core-based exercises are particularly beneficial, while stretching exercises for pain and the McKenzie method for disability were less effective. The study concludes with specific exercise prescription recommendations based on frequency, duration, and program length, emphasizing personalized approaches to care.
