In today's broadcast, we talk to Canadian photographer Edward Burtynsky, who was awarded with the 2023 Photoespaña prize at Spain's international photography festival. Burtynsky is known for his large-scale photographs of industrial landscapes, and his latest series, titled 'African Studies', is a collection of aerial-view photographs of African deserts and saltmines. After the interview, our correspondant in Beirut, Elsa Yasbek, tells us about a flamenco show that took place in the archeological Roman Temple of Baalbeck (Lebanon) put together in partnership with the Spanish Embassy in Lebanon, and with the help of flamenco percussionist Nacho Arimani.
