What happens when the problem isn’t knowing God’s will, but wanting it? In this episode of the Enjoy God Podcast, Beth Ann sits down with Cody Hale and Andrew Hendrick for an honest conversation about the tension between what God wants and what we want. Using the story of Jonah as a starting point, they talk about competing desires, obedience when God’s way feels harder, our tendency to trust our own wisdom, and what can happen when we run from what we know God is asking of us. They also get practical about prayer, Godly counsel, temptation, repentance, and why following Jesus was never meant to be done alone. Ultimately, the question underneath it all is one every follower of Jesus has to answer again and again: Will I trust that God’s way is better even when it isn’t the way I would choose?

How do I know God is actually real? What if I have doubts? How do I know Christianity is true and not just something I believe because my parents do? These are the kinds of questions teenagers are asking, and they’re worth taking seriously.
In this episode of the Enjoy God Podcast, Beth Ann sits down with Family Pastor John Blanton and Student Coordinators Ethan Sparks and Hannah Grim to tackle real questions from teenagers about God, faith, suffering, prayer, salvation, culture, relationships, and what it looks like to follow Jesus when the people around you believe differently.
This conversation isn’t about giving teenagers quick “church answers.” It’s about creating space for honest questions, wrestling with what Scripture says, and helping students develop a faith that is truly their own. Whether you’re a teenager asking these questions yourself or a parent trying to navigate them alongside your student, this episode is a reminder that you don’t have to be afraid of hard questions, and that Jesus is worth seeking in the middle of them.

Part 2 of 2: Kids ask some of the best questions...and sometimes the hardest ones! In this episode of the Enjoy God Podcast, Beth Ann continues her conversation with John Blanton and Katie Hendrick to answer real questions submitted by kids at The Orchard. How can we know God is with us when we can’t feel Him? Does God sleep? Was Jesus there at creation? Why does God sometimes sound selfish? And why in the world did they throw Jonah off the boat? From funny questions to surprisingly deep ones, John and Katie help us see that we don’t have to be afraid of our kids’ curiosity, and that even their biggest questions can lead us to know and enjoy God more. There were too many great questions for one episode, so this is Part 2 of 2!

Family discipleship can feel intimidating, but it doesn’t have to look perfect to make an impact. They talk about bedtime prayers, car-ride conversations, parenting mistakes, hard questions, and trusting God with our children’s faith. Whether you’re just getting started or have been intentionally discipling your kids for years, this conversation is an encouraging reminder that the goal isn’t perfection, it’s faithfulness.

What does it actually mean to make disciples? Is it something every Christian is called to do? In this episode of Enjoy God, Beth Ann sits down with The Orchard’s Disciple-Making Pastor, Micah Raies, and longtime missions partner, Joey Shaw, to take some of the mystery and intimidation out of discipleship. Together, they talk about the way Jesus made disciples, what it looks like to follow His example, and how ordinary moments at home, at work, and in our relationships can become opportunities to point others toward Him. They also explore the connection between discipleship and missions, what we can learn from the global church, and how making disciples ultimately flows out of knowing, following, and enjoying God ourselves.

Why do we need other believers to faithfully follow Jesus? In this episode of Enjoy God, Beth Ann sits down with Share Life Pastor James Allison and community group leader Becky Borgman to talk about why God designed us for community and why the Christian life was never meant to be lived in isolation. Together, they explore the beauty, and sometimes the messiness, of being truly known, the importance of spiritual friendships, and the ways God uses His people to encourage us, speak truth into our lives, and help carry our burdens. They also share practical encouragement for overcoming the barriers that keep us from community and taking intentional steps toward sharing life with others.

What does it really mean to enjoy God—and what does that look like in everyday life? In the first episode of the Enjoy God Podcast, host Beth Ann Hill sits down with Lead Pastor Cody Hale and Worship Pastor Andrew Hendrick to unpack the idea at the heart of The Orchard Church: God doesn't simply want us to know about Him - He invites us to know Him, delight in Him, and enjoy a relationship with Him.
Together, they talk about the difference between faithfulness driven by guilt and faithfulness that flows from grace and delight, what it means to live a life of worship beyond Sunday morning, and how Scripture, prayer, and Christian community help us grow in our enjoyment of God. They also discuss what joy looks like in difficult seasons and offer practical encouragement for anyone who feels spiritually dry or simply doesn't know where to begin.
