Often, when you're working hard to achieve your goals, it will seem like there's no reward in sight. Feeling like you're not making any progress at all. Don't give up. A few years back I was training to jog a half marathon with my wife. It was an enormous step for me. By far, it was the longest distance I've run. And I want to share one lesson I learned from the experience.

A little belief can go a long way to helping you achieve your goals and enjoy life. But, what can you do if you’re struggling with believing in yourself. Or, maybe you don’t have a lot of success yet. That can make it difficult. What can you do?
In this episode, I’ll share a few simple reasons that can help you develop the belief needed to take action toward your goals. Give a listen and begin to take advantage of the power of belief.
Those big goals with many steps to achieve them can be overwhelming. And overwhelm can lead to not take action. And if you don't take action and do the work, then you'll never achieve your goals. Instead, Follow the simple suggestion I give in this episode. That way you can make a little progress today by doing what you can do today. Don't waste the day by not doing what you can do.
You are amazing and powerful. You can achieve great things and make your life what you want. But, are you stopping your own success by putting junk into your engine? You choose what you take in. You can choose junk. Or, you can choose rocket fuel?
What are you putting into your body? What you eat and drink can make the difference between achieving your goals or not. The right things can give energy and focus. Taking in the wrong things will drain your energy and give you a mental fog, which both can make achieving goals almost impossible.
What do you eat and drink?
Healthy food, water, vitamins, minerals?
Soda, junk food, sugar, drive-through?
Are you fueling your body to perform well and help you achieve your goals? Your health is vital for almost any goal you have. It’s certainly important to help you enjoy any goal you achieve and enjoying the journey to achieve it too.
What are you putting into your mind?
The food and drink we put into our bodies is not the only thing we need to watch. We we put into our minds also have an enormous impact on achieving goals and enjoying life.
Healthy good things can help your energy, mindset, and focus. Things that also help you achieve your goals and enjoy life more?
Junk and unhealthy things going into your mind can destroy energy and focus. Things that push you toward stress, frustration, despair, mental exhaustion, and feeling like giving up.
Are you fueling your mind to stay sharp, focused, and on track with the life you want.
How to apply:
Notice that what you’re putting into your body and mind. Ask yourself if it's helping you achieve goals and enjoy life? If so, keep it. If not, then make a change.
Start small. Start with one slight change. Just start.
What's one thing you're doing that’s not not fueling your success?
If you ever struggle with not having enough time for everything, then pay attention. No, I can't create more time and give it all just for you. Instead, you can shift how you look at the time you have and take your power back to make the most of it.
Just about everyone wants more time. Right? Or, at least, everyone I know has said one of these statements:
“I don’t have time for that.”Big truth you already know:
You don't get to have more time than anyone else. You don’t get to choose the time you have today, this week, month, or in your life. You can't create more time either. Yet, some people seem to get a lot more done in the same time than others.
If you can't get it all done no matter how hard you try, is that a reason to give up? No. Not at all. Instead, there is a simple shift to bring your power back to you. We can't create more time, but we can focus on the choices we're making in the time we have. Think about how you're spending those choices. It’s not how you spend your time. It is how you spend your choices.
We have to stop blaming time. Well, there’s just not enough time. True! There will never be enough time to do everything. And that doesn’t matter one bit. There will always be enough time for you to focus on your number one priority. It’s what you choose to do and what you choose to focus on that makes a difference.
How do you spend your choices?
A simple shift in seeing how you spend your choices brings the responsibility and ownership right back to where it belongs. You choose how you spend your choices. Not enough time? Ok. Well, what did you choose to do instead?
How will you spend your choices?

If you're like me, then you like being able to learn important lessons from any source. I love learning from anywhere I can, even from unusual sources. This even includes my watch. I recently learned a powerful life lesson from one of its simple features. There is a feature on Garmin watches that's turned on by default that taught me something I need to know. It is a MOVE! alert. The watch will vibrate and said MOVE! across its face.
Sometimes, while I was sitting working at my desk, my watch would tell me to move. Of course, my first thought was "stop it, I can't get up and move right now." But, the fact remained that I need to move. Regardless, if it's convenient or not, I need to move my body.
It's Time To MOVE!There are too many benefits to moving our bodies to ignore.
Want to achieve your goals?MOVE!
You won’t make any progress without movement. It's time to take action and make progress.
MOVE!
If you want to enjoy what you're doing, then engage more. Become an active participant. Withdrawing because you're not enjoying life only makes it worse.
Moving is good for your body and mind too.
For the sake of your body, mind, and life, make sure you move. Get out there and move your body. Your body needs to move and not to stay still and sit all day.
Do you feel stuck?MOVE!
Yes, moving your body can help you find solutions to break through what's holding you back. Changing your body can help change your mind. Do you know the expression ‘change your perspective’? How about changing your physical position to help you find a fresh perspective?
Don't have the motivation? Or Don't feel like moving?
MOVE!
Yes, it's the same solution. If you don't have the motivation to get up and move, then it's definitely time to move. Motivation won't hit you on the couch. It shows up after you do.
How To Start
This one is simple, plus you can make it as easy as you need. Here is a great time to start tiny. If you notice any of the above reasons that moving can help you, then make a commitment to move more. Short walks are amazing. I do a quick loop around my office's parking lot after a long Zoom meeting or phone call. I often use the office printer just so I have to get up and move. What's most important is that you get up and move your body. You can take is a step further and get a few minutes of light exercise a couple times throughout the day. Once you're in the habit of moving more, it will become easier.
What's one thing you'll do to move more?

Today can be the day you become the person you want to be. You can stop waiting to be the person you want to be. Instead, you can start acting like the person you want to be now. It’s not being fake to act how you want to be, even if you don't feel you're there yet. It’s being you, and it’s powerful and simple.
If you want to be healthy and healthy people exercise, then exercise.
If you want to be kind, and kind people help others, then help others.
If you want to be smart and smart people read, then read.
Think about the type of person you want to be. What do they do? Once you know who you want to be and what they typically do, then you can start doing the same things.
Acting like it makes it so.You can act your way into becoming the person you want to be. We all know that our bodies listen to our minds. If your mind tells your eyes to blink, then they blink. If your mind tells your mouth to say "Hi, John.", then you mouth does it. But, did you know that the other way is also true? Our minds listen to your bodies.
Our minds believe what our bodies are doing. And they really believe what our bodies do repeatedly. If you frequently exercise and eat healthy food, then your mind will believe that you're becoming a healthy person. Once you believe that, then it will be easier to keep acting in a way that supports the belief.
How to startThere is a simple way to start. Just start doing the things that you know will help you be who you want to be. Start with doing something small that's relatively easy for you. Then, you can repeat.
If you have the desire inside you, then you have it inside you
Don’t wait for permission.
Just do it.
What's one thing you can do today that will help you be the person you want to be?
