Everybody seems to be so angry these days and occasionally it is OK to be angry. The Apostle Paul warned: “in your anger do not sin.” Jesus who never sinned was so angry he flipped over the tables of the money changers in the temple and chased them out with a whip. Jesus half-brother James taught, “…You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.  Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.” James 1:19-20. There’s an old saying that is wise and true, “Anger begins with madness and ends in regret.” While it’s true that some Christ-followers are too nice, we certainly don’t honor God and fulfill His purpose for our lives by being easily angered. Listen and be encouraged to communicate and control your emotions in a way that blesses others and benefits you. Pastor Chris Teien

Hear ways to avoid giving into temptations that can ruin our lives. In first chapter of the book of James we learn the difference between the testing of our faith and the temptations to sin. To master temptation, you must let Christ master you. God always tests us to bring out the best; Satan tempts us to bring out the worst. Temptation comes in many forms and often at times we least expect it. You may even be tempted to not listen to this message but listen anyway. Pastor Chris Teien

Every day our lives are filled with difficulties that can hinder our faith or help us grow deeper in faith. No matter what you are struggling with you can ask God for help and wisdom to turn your troubles into joy. We also took a few minutes to remember St. Patrick who is the only missionary that is remembered by a holiday. Pastor Chris Teien

Ever find yourself travelling on a road knowing you were headed the wrong direction but it seemed there was no way to make a U-Turn and go the right way? Some Christians get off track and head the wrong direction thinking either God doesn’t care or thinking there’s no way to turn back now – but God does care and He can help turn your life around. Other Christians seem to lack sympathy and compassion for those headed the wrong way and don’t show the same love the Lord would want them to. Jesus loved to teach with parables and word pictures. While it may be hard to think about seeds when there is currently so much ice and snow on the ground, following Jesus teaching on planting seeds for a future harvest can radically change your life. One particular seed that Jesus liked to talk about was the mustard seed – that little seed that grew to become so significant. In John 13 Jesus gave His disciples a new commandment to follow – to love each other the way  that He loved them.  Come learn what this really means, and how learning to love the way Jesus did can radically change how we look at the world and how the world looks at the Church.  We are commanded to love this way.  It is radical.  It is revolutionary.  It can be reality.  Listen as we explore the exciting opportunities we have as Christ followers to change the world. Some people think they can be tight with Jesus and not be part of the church, not realizing the church is bride of Christ. The Church is God's Plan and He desires that all His children are part of a local church family where relationships are built, faith grows, Spiritual gifts are used and the community is impacted. As Christians we all know we should share our faith but inner fear and outer distractions keep us from accomplishing that task. If we pour ourselves into God’s Word, experience a true and saving relationship with Jesus Christ, and are filled with the Holy Spirit we won’t be able to not share the Good News with all those around us.
