Guest: S. Alise Moore, The Singing Therapist
In this powerful episode of the Enjoy Your Life Podcast, host Farrah LaRae sits down with S. Alise Moore — a licensed therapist, recording artist, and ministry leader — to explore what it really means to find wholeness in Christ while navigating the complexities of emotion, validation, and personal growth.
From the pulpit to the stage, Alise has lived at the intersection of faith, therapy, and music, serving leaders and creatives around the world. Together, she and Farrah dive into questions that so many believers wrestle with:
How do we stop seeking approval from people and start resting in God’s affirmation?
What does it mean to bridge the gap between spiritual truth and emotional reality?
How can self-love coexist with humility and dependence on Christ?
If you’ve ever felt unseen, unheard, or uncertain about your worth, this conversation will remind you that your healing and identity are found in Him — not in performance or perfection.
🎧 Tune in for faith-filled insights, therapeutic wisdom, and the gentle reminder that you are enough in God’s eyes.

Today's topic is a reminder to trust the lord with His timing for our lives. Even when discouragement sets in, we have to be strong and remind ourselves of the hope that is only found in Christ!
Reference Scripture: “Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have given me relief when I was in distress. Be gracious to me and hear my prayer! But know that the Lord has set apart the godly for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him. Be angry, and do not sin; ponder in your own hearts on your beds, and be silent. Selah Offer right sacrifices, and put your trust in the Lord. There are many who say, “Who will show us some good? Lift up the light of your face upon us, O Lord!” You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound. In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.”
Psalm 4:1, 3-8 ESV
God has some amazing things in store for you, but you will not see them if you don't push past where you are. Your mind cannot be subject to your present circumstances, you have to renew your mind with the word of God and remind yourself of who you are in Him. Things will get better. Trust God and move forward in Him. Let's talk about it.
Aaron Macklin is the CEO of Macklin Media and the founder of the Christian Movement "8:28" which emphasizes the importance of Romans 8:28 and reminds believers everywhere that all things are working together for their good. The movement launched in the Summer of 2022 when the Lord led Aaron to preach from this verse as a message of hope. From there, he began designing T-Shirts that read "ATWT" as a conversation started to prompt believers to share the good news. In this episode, we dive into the infrastructure of this prolific, nationwide movement and how you can be a part!
Life is full of surprises and each of us has obstacles we’ll face on the road to success. The destination of life, love, and happiness all seem so much more welcoming than the journey itself. This may be why we look forward to the goal rather than anticipating the ups and downs that come with actually achieving something great. In my experience, death, marriage, and motherhood all played a pivotal part in becoming the person I want to be. It just didn’t happen the way I expected. This left me wondering why I couldn't measure up to the person I used to be. In this conversation, I share the revelation God gave me about becoming someone new through HIm and allowing my experiences to make me and not break me.
